The Opportunity
Thanks to early leadership support, the Cuomo Theatre Fund is moving toward securing the NW Raleigh building as a permanent home for Portland theatre. This is a rare moment when a community can come together to protect an artistic space before it disappears.
Without this stable, dedicated space:
8,000+ community members lose access to performances, workshops, residencies, production support, and creative resources
400+ youth lose access to trained professionals who guide them through devising their own work at 9 high schools in the region
200+ artists, contractors, and technical workers lose access to employment opportunities
100+ individuals and 30+ itinerant companies lose access to studio space and equipment used to devise, rehearse, and perform their work
3 community-rooted theatre companies lose a home to work, grow, and engage us with the arts
Nearly $900,000 of investment in Portlanders is lost annually without the operation of this space
Your partnership doesn’t just support the arts–it safeguards an essential civic infrastructure that contributes to economic vitality, community cohesion, and the cultural health of our city. The future is within reach. Will you join us?
